FLOR•EN•CIA was inspired by my grandmother, Adela Florencia, who was born and raised in Cuba and came to the US in 1962. My grandma loved gardening and taught me everything I now know and love about flowers and life.

I was inspired by her love of flowers to start Florencia, an online floral design studio, with the mission to inspire love and creativity in our community.

We are a Latina owned business with roots in Chula Vista, our community stretches throughout San Diego County and beyond! Our goal is to create beautiful and inspiring work for each and every one of our clients, from installations, events, memorable occasions, weddings and more.

Cynthia Fernandez [ She, Her, Hers ]

Floral Designer and Owner of Florencia Florals

Cynthia has always had a creative spirit, and love for the arts. Born and raised in San Diego, she lives with her husband and 8 year old son. The art of floral design is not only where she's able to express herself creatively but also finds that floral design is a meditative experience. She has a BA in Art History from SDSU studied classical ballet and other dance forms for 19 years. Her background in the arts helps her see flowers from a different perspective. She uses shape, form, and vibrant color to create movement in her floral pieces to create a floral story for her clients. She uses surrounding elements and the nostalgia of being in her grandmother's garden as fuel to inspire her designs.

FLOR•EN•CIA's Message of Sustainability

We understand the amount of waste that's created by the floral industry, which is why we choose to minimize our waste as much as we can, by using reusable ceramic vases, containers, and materials. We hope to continue our efforts in becoming less wasteful and being more resourceful in our floral arrangements and installations.
